Having a large selection allows us to be able to offer the best variety of sample sizes including a great selection of plus size gowns. We offer the best representation of each of our designers’ most current styles, the most accommodating price ranges and the ability to be able to work within your budget.
Our bridal gowns range from $200-$4000 and all of our other divisions offer the same diverse range.

How Far in advance should i order my wedding dress?

We recommend ordering your dress 6-18 months before the wedding. This allows enough time for your dress to be constructed, shipped and altered. Each designer has rush options available if required, although additional fees normally apply. First Comes Love will store your dress for you until the wedding if you'd like.

Do I need to make an appointment?

If you know ahead of time when you would like to visit, it is always best to book an appointment. That way you are guaranteed to work with one of our experienced consultants who are here to help you every step of the way. However, if you find yourself just wanting to pop in, please do so! We can usually accommodate walk-ins!
​Appointments usually last between one and two hours, although there is no time limit.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

 Come in with an open mind!  As you’ve likely heard, dresses look really different once they are actually on.  If you have some picture references, they will help you communicate your ideas to your consultant. Take some time to look through magazines or online ahead of your appointment, and take note of the dresses you are drawn to. You can even look through our designer websites, that way we will likely have the exact dresses in stock.

As for what to wear, it is not strictly necessary to wear a strapless bra for your appointment because the dresses are usually very structured, most of the time you wont even need one.

If you know you want to wear a certain shoe or a specific heel height on the big day then please bring along shoes.

Who Should I bring?

You can bring how ever many people you would like to share this experience, however bringing just your nearest and dearest can also make easier to decide on the perfect dress (too many opinions can often be overwhelming) ​

Are alterations included? Do you have a seamstress?

Alterations to your dress are not included in the ticket price. We wouldn’t want you to pay more than you need to for your specifically required adjustments to the gown. So the alterations are something that is generally excluded industry wide.
​We have a list of fantastic seamstresses in town that we can recommend to you, just ask!

What price range does first comes love stock?

We do strive to work within any budget. Our regular priced dresses range from $800 up to $4500, with the average dress costing approximately $1300-$1700. However, if budget is a concern we are always happy to discuss different payment options and we do have a clearance section of off the rack gowns that are deeply discounted!

What size are your samples?

Our current samples range in size from 2 to 30. If you are concerned about sizes during your appointment then let us know and we can always have a few choices ready for you.

Do you offer after hours appointments or appointments on days you're closed?

 Of course we do! If you need more time, a little more privacy, or if you'd like to bring a larger group you can have First Comes Love all to yourself while you find your dream dress! We would love to book you an after hours appointment :) 

There may be an additional charge for appointments on days we were scheduled to be closed, but if you find your dream dress during your after hours appointment, then the appointment fee will go toward your purchase.

Do you stock plus sized gowns?

Of course we do! We have plenty of plus sized gowns available as off the rack sales or special order!
We are always getting more styles in and growing our selection! We even have plus sized trunkshows a couple times a year!

What is a trunkshow?

A trunkshow is when the designer sends us their entire new collection. When we attend markets we carefully select a curated number of gowns. During a trunkshow you'll see everything the designer has to offer! We usually make a fun event out of it and offer discounts we're not normally aloud to offer on our lines!
